All ears on Father John Misty! Josh Tillman, a folk singer, guitarist, songwriter and former member of Fleet Foxes from 2008 to 2011, currently plays under this moniker and has experienced a giant shift in his writing and singing.

Tillman’s voice has been compared to the late, great Roy Orbison for its dark, mysterious but seemingly playful elements. His wide ranging voice has many layers and swims in and out of octaves effortlessly.

Lyrically the songs have many spiritual references and as Tillman states in an interview with Sub Pop Records, are “these weird-ass songs about weird-ass experiences almost in real-time, and kind of have this musical ‘Oh-there-I-am’ moment. I don’t even like wound-licking music, I want to listen to someone rip their arm off and beat themselves with it. I don’t believe that until now I’ve ever put anything at risk in my music.”

Enjoy the folky, sexy, thought provoking music of Father John Misty Tuesday, October 30th at
and be all Ears!
