Welcome to your new summertime soundtrack: Animal LIberation Orchestra, or A.L.O. to its fans, is a lazy river of swooning, sunny pop songs with an island bounce. With humor and harmonies that recall the Beach Boys and Jack Johnson (to whose Brushfire label they are signed), this California four-piece are self-proclaimed music geeks, as technically proficient as they are entertaining. A mellow must-hear.
