Earphoria is proud to announce a new live/play music space in Chicago’s Logan Square!

Jules here with earphoria.fm, an interactive media platform supporting the sustainable growth of our music culture. Earphoria inspires listeners and empowers musicians by providing an outlet for expression, experience and education. Listeners and musicians come together to create engaging content and experiences fueled by collaborative ventures.

Earphoria is opening it’s doors to the Chicago music community on January 1st, providing musicians with a space to live, play, practice, record and perform.

Hostel Earphoria offers musicians and listeners short term-long term housing options. Rooms and shares are available from $150/month, $15/night. We invite you to be part of the founding community!

After months, years really, of searching Chicago’s streets for an ideal space to grow our physical presence we found a single-famliy home on Diversey and St. Louis, a hair west of the Milwaukee/Kimball intersection. Having 5 bedrooms/ 2baths, a backyard and full basement, this space met nearly all of our criteria, and then some. We will be the first inhabitants following a complete remodel providing new windows and roof, treated wood floors, fresh painted walls, new hardware and appliances.

Upon entrance, the first floor provides a 2rm living area which will be used as a community space and will closely resemble an eclectic and relaxing coffee shop/ art studio/ music room. Further back there is a medium size kitchen and full bath. The outdoor space in the back has a small deck, grassy area, storage shed and parking with new iron gate. This space, again open to our community will be used for concerts, events and the like. There are 2 small 8x12ish rooms with closets on the first floor, we are asking $400/ month. The 2nd level holds a small room with great windows opening to the street, we are asking $600. There is a walk-though area with more than enough room for 2queen beds, we are asking $600 or $350 split. The master bedroom is expansive and has the option of a semi-private bathroom. We are asking $700 or $400 split. Splitting is encouraged as our goal is to create a community living environment. Last is the large semi-finished basement with washer/dryer. This open space will shortly be drywalled and partitioned using movable walls. This multi-function room serves as shared-sleeping space, practice area, recording studio and media lounge. Beds start at $15/night to $150/month and we invite both short-term and long term residents who are looking for a sweet place to crash.

Since we are only moving in on Jan 1st we are trying to arrange 1-2 group viewings for people who are looking to secure any of the more private rooms. More importantly though we will want to spend some time with those that are interested to see if we are a good fit. We are excited to welcome a great community of musicians, artists and listeners that are interested in a family style living environment. We look forward to meeting you!
